To invite those who have experienced fear, pain, grief or loss in the areas of fertility, pregnancy and NICU families to healing and restoration in Christ.
Project Little Flower was born from the losses of many mothers who united in their desire to heal and minister to others going through similar experiences. This ministry takes its name from one of its patron saints, St. Therese of Lisieux, affectionately known as The Little Flower.
St. Thérèse, who although did not have any children, had lost several siblings before she was born. Throughout her life, she was close to them and sought their intercession. Her experience and her teachings remind us that every life, no matter how long or short, is a valuable gift. Project Little Flower hopes to speak this truth into the lives of families who suffer from loss.
“He has created the little child…and it is to their hearts that He deigns to stoop. These are the field flowers whose simplicity charms Him…As the sun shines both on the cedar and on the floweret, so the Divine Sun illumines every soul, great and small, and all correspond to His care.”
- St. Thérèse of Lisieux
It is really devastating for couples longing for children to realize and accept their infertility. It can be a lonely journey, bearing a silent cross as it is such a private matter. With the grace of God and fellowship of the Holy Spirit, comes great hope and trust in the plan of God. We are available to accompany you and share in what is often an isolating journey.
Many couples experience the deep pain of losing a baby through miscarriage or still birth and feel very alone and distraught with grief. The loss of a child is probably one of the greatest suffering one can face. But God can heal even the deepest wounds and grief. We hope to share in your grief and help you experience the healing touch of God.
Women who have high-risk pregnancies may have to be on long term bedrest at home or at the hospital with risks of a pre-term delivery. This can be a scary and isolating experience. We seek to provide prayerful support and help you experience the mercy and hope of God.
Having a baby in the NICU can be traumatic. Parents often experience a deep sense of loss, shock and uncertainty. Babies can be in the NICU for a range of things from prematurity to a life threatening or disabling diagnosis. You don't have to be alone! We seek to support you in this circumstance through prayers, in-the-moment support and accompaniment.
